How Can I Disable Alexa Notifications in the Amazon Prime Video App on My LG TV?

I'm having a frustrating experience with the Amazon Prime app on my LG UA7700. Every time I open it, I get this annoying prompt that says, 'Next time use your voice and say "Alexa, open Prime Video." Press and hold alexa on your LG Magic Remote to get started.' I'm really not interested in using Alexa and would rather just use the button on the remote to access Prime Video. Is there a way to turn off this notification or feature? If so, can anyone guide me on where to find that option in the settings?

Here’s something to keep in mind: If you're using an Amazon product, you're likely going to encounter ads promoting their services. If you want a simple solution, I suggest looking at cheaper dumb TVs that don’t connect to the internet. You could even set up a mini PC with it for a more versatile experience without the unwanted features. Just a thought!

It’s frustrating, I get it! They are really pushing these voice features lately. I think they’re banking on everyone switching to Alexa completely. You could also consider alternatives like Plex if you want to escape these kinds of ads, or maybe just ignore it for now since it’s probably not going anywhere anytime soon. Good luck!

Unfortunately, it seems like there's no option to completely disable that Alexa prompt right now. It's built into the app, and it can be pretty annoying if you're not using voice features. Just remember, if you keep using the app, that message will keep popping up every time. Maybe you can send feedback to LG or Amazon about it? They do take user opinions into account for future updates.
