Why Does My PC Lose Internet Connection After Sleep?

Every time I put my PC into sleep mode and wake it up, I have to wait a bit to reconnect to the internet. I recently set up an Ethernet connection, and this wasn't an issue when I was using WiFi. Once it reconnects, there are no problems at all. So far, I've tried several things: I unchecked the option to allow the computer to turn off the device to save power, disabled settings like 'Green Ethernet' and 'Power Saving Mode,' and even enabled Wake on LAN in the BIOS. My motherboard is a MAG B850 Tomahawk.

It sounds like a frustrating issue! You might want to check if there was a new BIOS update released—worth updating to see if it resolves the problem. Also, can you let us know the brand and model of your network chipset, along with the exact driver version you’re using? That information could help in troubleshooting further!

Good point! I found that the drivers from the MSI site might be outdated. You might want to download the latest directly from RealTek's website. They have the necessary drivers that can help, especially the one referring to 'Not Support Power Saving'—that’s a common fix for connection drops.
