I'm having a frustrating issue with the 'O' key on my Razer Blade 15 laptop keyboard. It seems to be really inconsistent; sometimes it works perfectly fine for multiple presses, and other times it doesn't register at all unless I give it a good spam. Interestingly, I experienced a similar issue with my comma key for a while, but that one sorted itself out. Now, the 'O' key is doing the same weird thing. I can't pinpoint how frequently the 'O' key responds—sometimes it works on alternate presses, sometimes it behaves well for a while, and sometimes it completely fails to work. When it does work, I can hold it down to type a bunch of 'O's, but it often stops working after a long pause. Lately, I've been resorting to using Ctrl+V to paste an 'O' whenever I need it, which is incredibly annoying. I'm unsure whether this is a hardware or software issue since I haven't made any significant changes that would affect my keyboard.

Have you tried using canned air? It might help dislodge any debris that’s stuck without you having to take the keyboard apart!
I totally feel you on this! I have a similar problem with the 'O' key on my HP Pavilion x360; it’s not just the 'O' but the whole row from 9 to . that gives me grief. It only works after I spam the keys. I’d check for debris, but taking apart the whole laptop just to peek under the keyboard seems like a nightmare.
Check to see if anything is stuck under the key like crumbs or other debris. If that’s not the problem, try booting your laptop in safe mode and test each key to see if they respond. You can also connect a different physical keyboard to your laptop in safe mode; if the 'O' key works fine on the external keyboard, then you might be dealing with a hardware issue with your laptop's keyboard itself. If all keys work in safe mode, then it’s likely a software issue causing the trouble.
That sounds like a plan, but honestly, I started from the bottom and it was really weird. Turns out there’s dust everywhere!
I tried connecting an external keyboard, and the 'O' key worked perfectly, so it seems it's not a software issue after all. The laptop keys are too flat to easily check for debris, and I really don’t want to risk damaging them by removing the key caps too aggressively. I'm considering either replacing the keyboard or just sticking with an external one.
Is your 'O' key level with the other keys? Sometimes keys just get misaligned, which could cause inconsistency.
Yeah, it's level with all the others, so I don't think that's the issue.

Ugh, I know! I don't want to break anything trying to fix it. A replacement keyboard costs a fortune, and putting it back together looks like it would take ages.
