I'm looking for advice on upgrading my gaming PC. Right now, I have an XFX Speedster MERC 310 Black Edition Radeon RX 7900 XT 20 GB video card and 32GB of RAM, paired with an AMD Ryzen 5 7600 3.8 GHz 6-Core processor. While I usually get around 220-300 frames per second in most games, I frequently experience frame drops. I'm not really sure if the problem is my video card or something else. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

For gaming, the CPU plays a significant role, especially for maintaining those frame rates. Your GPU seems fine, but if your FPS is dropping, it could be worth looking into a CPU upgrade first. Something in the Ryzen 7 or newer might provide the boost you're looking for.
It sounds like your video card is solid, but your CPU might be the bottleneck. Since the Ryzen 5 7600 is a 6-core processor, it could struggle in more demanding scenarios, especially with high frame rates. Definitely check if your RAM is set up correctly in the slots and that your BIOS settings are optimized for performance. You might want to consider upgrading your CPU to something like the Ryzen 7 or 9 series for better overall performance.
