I'm upgrading my brother's PC and could really use some advice! I built my first PC last year, so I'm still learning the ropes. The goal is to assemble a solid build that not only performs well but also looks great. Here's what I currently have in mind for the parts:
- Nzxt H6 Flow RGB tower
- Asus Tuf B650E motherboard
- AMD 7800X3D processor
- Asus TUF SFF Ready RTX 5070 graphics card
- 4TB Samsung 9100 SSD
- 1TB Samsung 980 Pro SSD
- 1000w BeQuiet! power supply
- TRX Panorama AIO cooler
- 3 iCue fans
- Lian Li Strimer RGB GPU connection
And some random accessories as well.
Feel free to suggest any changes or swaps. I'd appreciate any insights or critiques as I'm still learning! Thanks!

Just a side note, I'm giving him one of my 32GB RAM sticks to boost his memory.
Your setup looks solid for gaming at 1080p and 1440p! Just a heads up, a 1000w PSU might be more than you need, unless you plan to upgrade in the future. A 750w Corsair PSU should work fine, or an 850w would be a good in-between if you want a little headroom. Also, the AIO cooler is kind of overkill if your brother is just playing games. While it keeps things quiet and cool, it could be pricier than necessary.
If you're set on the GPU, consider upgrading to a 5070 Ti or 9070 XT for more VRAM. You'll appreciate that extra memory in the near future!
Got it! That’s actually the one part I’ve ordered already. I found a great deal, but I can return it if needed. Just to clarify, those are Nvidia and AMD cards, right? Any preference between them?

Thanks for the tips! I was leaning towards the 850w PSU because the price difference was minimal. Comfort and silence were key for the AIO, so I’m glad to hear I’m on the right track. He definitely deserves a nice setup!
