For motherboards, I'm considering the Asus TUF B760-Plus Gaming Wi-Fi DDR5 for Intel, and the Asus TUF B850M-E Gaming Wi-Fi DDR5 for AMD. My primary aim is to game without any lag and with high settings, but I also want a reliable workstation for software engineering and occasional rendering. Would the CPU make a significant difference in my choice, or should I opt for the more affordable AMD build? Keep in mind the AMD option is around $100 cheaper, which is nearly the price of a 1TB SSD.
