Having Trouble with Miracast on My RTX 5090 – Any Solutions?

I recently upgraded my gaming setup with an RTX 5090 for my golf simulation PC, which I use with a Hans G 23" touchscreen monitor and a Benq TK710sti 4K projector. Everything runs perfectly in 4K resolution. I've seen other users in forums successfully casting their golf stats to a secondary projector using OBS Studio, which looked pretty straightforward. So, I got myself a budget projector from Amazon to do the same.

However, I haven't been able to connect my sim PC to the projector using Miracast. Interestingly, my Microsoft Surface casts to it without a hitch, but my sim PC isn't recognizing it. I've followed numerous tutorials on setting up Miracast, but I keep running into a wall. When I run dxdiag and save the report, it states "Miracast: Not Supported by Graphics driver." I've tried updating to the latest driver (from 2026), but that hasn't resolved anything. I even rolled back to an earlier driver version without success. I'm at a loss here! Is there anything I can do to enable Miracast on my RTX 5090?

You might want to check if your motherboard has an onboard GPU. If it does, disabling the RTX 5090 and using the onboard graphics could be worth a shot. Let us know how it goes!

Make sure to double-check if your current display settings are configured correctly for Miracast. Sometimes, changing the resolution or refresh rate can help. It's a bit of trial and error!

Have you tried temporarily disabling the RTX 5090 to see if it can connect using the onboard GPU instead? If you have a compatible motherboard, it could work. Just a thought!
