We're on the hunt for new label printers for our business. Up until now, we've been using the manufacturer's software for printing all our labels. However, as we switch to printers from a different manufacturer, we'll require new software. Does anyone have recommendations for free or very inexpensive universal label software that can work with various label printers?

You might want to give examples of your use cases. For us, we print shipping labels using UPS World Ship and use bartender software for barcodes and product tags. Microsoft Access can do the job too, but it needs more setup. Just a heads up, Bartender can be pricey—around $200 a year for just one user!
What types of labels are you looking to print? Knowing your requirements can help narrow down options! For instance, if you're only printing text and codes for a warehouse, that’s different from shipping labels. Could you provide more details?
