Can I Upgrade to a 5060 with My 400W PSU?

I'm currently using a pre-built system with an Nvidia 2060 GPU, a Ryzen 5 4600G processor, an HP 87D6 SMVB motherboard, and I believe a 400W 80+ Gold rated power supply. I'm considering upgrading to a 5060. I know the minimum power supply requirement is usually around 550W for that GPU. What should I consider before making this upgrade?

It should work with a slight undervolt. However, I'd recommend getting a higher wattage PSU eventually. In the worst-case scenario, your PC might shut down if it can't handle the load, but just be cautious about power usage.

I appreciate the heads up! I was a bit worried about the PSU failing, but I've heard I can't just get any PSU; it needs to be compatible with my motherboard.

The 5060 has a thermal design power (TDP) of 145W, so your 400W PSU should handle it just fine under normal conditions.
