I'm planning to upgrade from an RTX 3060 Ti for gaming on a 4K 240Hz monitor. GPU prices seem to be rising, and newer generations or refreshed 50-series models may still be a long way off. Someone has offered me a brand-new Zotac RTX 5080 in exchange for my RTX 3060 Ti plus £800. Since I could probably sell my current card for around £150, my effective cost would be roughly £950. Similar RTX 5080 cards are currently selling for about £1,300. Is this a sensible upgrade and a fair price, or would I be better off waiting or considering another card?

I’d be comfortable taking the offer if the seller can demonstrate that the card works. Check the serial number, packaging, warranty details, and run a quick benchmark or game test before handing over the money. The 3060 Ti is still reasonably desirable, so selling it separately for around £150 seems plausible.
