Why is my PC randomly restarting after I upgraded my GPU?

I've recently swapped out my GTX 1660 Super for a new RTX 5060, but I'm facing some serious issues. The gaming performance is really disappointing, and I keep experiencing random reboots—no blue screen, just a black screen followed by a restart. I've tried several troubleshooting steps already:

1. Completely uninstalled and reinstalled my graphics drivers using DDU.
2. Temporarily disabled XMP.
3. Double-checked that my GPU is properly seated.
4. Made sure the PCIe power cable is securely connected.
5. And of course, I checked that my HDMI is plugged into the GPU, not the motherboard (I've made that mistake before!).

Here are my specs:
- Motherboard: Gigabyte H410 DDR4
- CPU: Intel Core i5 10400K
- RAM: 16GB DDR4 2666MHz
- New GPU: RTX 5060
- PSU: CoolerMaster 650W (about 4 years old)

Could my PSU be failing? I'm really at a loss here.

I'd bet on the PSU, honestly. The 5060 needs a bit more power, and it might just be that your old unit is no longer up to the task. If you can hook up a different PSU to see if that fixes the reboots, that would be ideal. Also, you could revert to your old GPU to see if the problem persists. If it does, consider reinstalling Windows or checking for a warranty claim on the RTX; you might have gotten a faulty unit.

That's weird, though, since a 650W PSU should ideally be fine for the 5060 on paper. Maybe it's simply an aging PSU issue since it’s four years old.
