Is it safe to connect a 3-8pin graphics card to a PSU with only 2 PCIe slots?

I'm looking for advice on setting up my ASUS Prime 9070 XT graphics card, which has three 8-pin power connectors, with my BeQuiet 850W power supply that only has two PCIe slots. I have two types of split cables: one has 12 pins but only 8 are populated and then splits into two 6+2 PCIe connections for the GPU. The other has a full 12 pins that splits directly into two PCIe connectors. My complete build can be viewed on PCPartPicker, and I also have some pictures showing the cables. Any insights on whether this setup is safe would be greatly appreciated!

It's not the best for balancing the electrical load, but it works. If you have any concerns, the safest bet would be to get a power supply with three PCIe slots. But honestly, if you’re careful with how you connect everything, you should be okay.

As long as your power supply is solid, daisy chaining shouldn't be a problem at all. I use a Gigabyte 9070 XT and during stress tests, it peaks over 500W, and my PSU handles that smoothly.

Your setup should be fine! Many people are concerned about pigtails, but as long as you have a quality power supply like yours, it's typically not an issue. Ideally, you’d want the leftmost connector to go directly to the GPU without a pigtail, and then you can use the others as needed.

Your PSU can handle it. The B cable fully utilizes the connector and splits into two cables, acting similar to separate PCIe cables. Use both connectors from B for two of the GPU's ports and then connect A for the third port. This is the most efficient way to set up and should ensure everything gets the power it needs.
