I bought a mid-spec PC around four years ago, and I'm looking to make some upgrades to improve performance without investing in a whole new system. Here are my specs:
- **CPU**: Intel Core i7-7700 @ 4.2GHz
- **RAM**: 16GB DDR4 3000MT/s
- **GPU**: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER (8GB VRAM)
- **Storage**: 2x 1TB SATA SSD
- **Motherboard**: H110M ECO-S01 (MS-7994)
- **Power Supply**: Apevia Venus 500W
I haven't upgraded any components since the purchase, and my system sometimes throttles while playing medium-spec games. I'm mainly looking to improve performance for games like WoW, LoL, and modded Minecraft.

I think the CPU is a decent first upgrade, especially followed by the GPU if you're gaming. Your CPU's still solid, but getting something newer could give you a noticeable performance boost.
I’d suggest starting with your power supply. The Apevia model you have is known for its poor performance and can potentially harm your system. It’s rated as F tier on many PSU lists, so replacing it should be a priority if you want to ensure stability and longevity for your hardware.
What wattage would you recommend? Thanks for the info, I'll definitely look into it!

What could my current motherboard handle as an upgrade?
