I've noticed the Operator tool was getting a lot of attention when it first came out, but I rarely hear about it now. I'm curious if those of you who have the pro plan find it useful. I'm considering it for some mundane tasks but hesitant about the $200 monthly price. Is Operator actually effective? How accurate is it?

Honestly, I can't find a real use case for it right now. I see the potential, but in its current state, it doesn't do much for me.
It's pretty basic. You pretty much give it a task, and it gets it done, but slowly—kind of like an intern who doesn't quite have the hang of things yet. It can be handy for simple queries like flight times, but don’t expect it to be lightning-fast.
I've used Operator to fill out repetitive forms based on spreadsheet values. It works well, but it's slower than I'd like. Still, for my needs, it saves a lot of time, so I'd say it's worth the investment, at least for that purpose.
I primarily use Operator for workshop demos and presentations. While it shows promise, it operates too slowly and has too many safeguards in place to be practical for everyday tasks.
I tried using it to search for the cheapest flight and it only did one search before it quit. I think it’s a good idea, but it likely needs a lot more processing power to really be effective. Plus, I’m looking into alternatives that can run locally and give AI more control over my desktop.
You might be better off with a script for that, honestly. Something like ChatGPT could whip it up to run way faster and cheaper.
