Which GPU should I upgrade to from my 3080?

I've been using an RTX 3080 10GB, but lately, it's been showing signs of trouble. The text on my screen occasionally becomes unreadable until I do something to reset that part of the display. I've verified that the monitor isn't the issue since everything looks fine when I use the integrated graphics. I have a Ryzen 7800X3D processor and an 850W PSU. My budget for a new GPU is around $1,200 max. What would be a good upgrade choice? Thanks for any suggestions!

Also, check if your fans are still working well. Increasing fan speeds can help if you're having heat issues. Just want to make sure it's not a simple problem before splurging on a new GPU!

Thanks for the tips! I'll check the thermal paste and fans before making any decisions.

Between the 9070 XT and 5070 Ti, I'd recommend the 9070 XT since it's generally lower priced. Just look for whichever one is closer to its MSRP—around $600 for the 9070 XT and $750 for the 5070 Ti.

You should definitely consider the RTX 5070 Ti 16GB or the RX 9070 XT 16GB. If you're okay with reinstalling drivers, that might be a solid upgrade for you!

Before upgrading, make sure your current GPU isn't overheating. Sometimes a simple fix like reapplying thermal paste can solve a lot.

A 5070 Ti at or near its $750 MSRP would be a nice step up from your 3080. If you're considering a shift, though, the 9070 XT is another viable option, especially if performance is your priority.

Yeah, if you’re looking at switching, the 9070 XT has been great for me!
