Has anyone tried Chrome Enterprise Core instead of ADMX files?

I'm curious if anyone here has switched to using Chrome Enterprise Core in place of traditional ADMX files. I just found out about it while looking for some updated ADMX files and it seems pretty cool! However, I'm a bit hesitant about giving even more data to Google regarding our employees. Also, do we need to be subscribers of Google Workspace to make use of this?

I made the switch last year. We’re using Intune and managing extensions with JSON can be a total hassle. They sync well with Entra ID for single sign-on, plus it allows separate work and personal profiles, similar to Edge. Even though we primarily support Edge, our users really like having both options. The admin portal is pretty intuitive, though it does include ChromeOS settings that don’t always align with ADMX policies. Still, changes take effect almost immediately!

Does Intune provide a dashboard comparable to this? The Google Chrome dashboard looks slick from what I've seen.

We looked into using Chrome Core, but it seemed like they wanted to charge per seat for cloud syncing. Getting straightforward pricing was a nightmare for our 2500 employees!

I've decided to keep our users' data solely with Microsoft. Seems like less data harvesting to me!

Yeah, I feel the same way! It's all about keeping our data safe.

Totally! It’s like choosing the lesser of two evils sometimes.
