Hey everyone! I'm currently using a 7800X3D CPU along with an ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming WIFI motherboard and a RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, coupled with 32GB of DDR5 RAM. I'm really enjoying my gaming experience at 1440p, especially while waiting for games like Resident Evil 9. I also play titles like CS2, PUBG, and BF6 at 1080p and 1440p. I'm considering whether it would be worth it to upgrade to the 9850X3D for better performance and to future-proof my setup, but I'm unsure. What do you all think?

If you're not seeing any FPS issues right now, there's no point in spending money on a new CPU. You might want to hold off until the next series of processors come out. They will offer better value for performance.

I wouldn't bother upgrading. It's likely just not worth the investment since most people have found that the performance boost isn't significant enough. If you're already satisfied with your current setup, I think saving your cash is a wise choice.

In terms of gaming, the 9850X3D probably isn't going to feel like a game-changer for you. Considering you only game, sticking with your current CPU seems perfectly fine for several more years.

Upgrading to the 9850X3D, in your case, doesn’t make sense. The performance difference is minimal, and it won’t really future-proof you. I'd suggest saving for the next generation, as there'll be significant improvements.

Honestly, if you're managing fine with your current games and not pushing the limits of your 5070 Ti, an upgrade won't really give you much of a performance increase. You're probably better off waiting for the next gen of CPUs which will be much more impactful.
