Issues with My New PC’s Power Supply and GPU

I recently built a new PC using my old power supply and GPU (a Seasonic Focus 1000W and a 4070 Ti). Initially, everything was fine, but while gaming, my monitors suddenly went black, though the audio and PC continued running. I had to hard reset it to regain functionality. I've already performed a DDU uninstall and reinstall of the GPU drivers, yet the problem persists, mainly occurring during games. My PC ran perfectly overnight without any issues. I double-checked all the connections to my GPU to make sure everything's secure. However, I've noticed the PSU fan doesn't spin at all, even under load, which makes me suspect it's the PSU. Also, this is the second case for my build because I dropped the first one, breaking the back feet and warping the PSU area. Could that have caused any lasting damage?

Are your video cables properly connected? They shouldn't be daisy-chained; make sure you have separate connectors coming from the PSU for each display connection.

Yep, I've got them all separately connected!

It sounds like you might have a few potential issues. First, check if you've made any overclocking changes or adjusted the voltage and fan settings in your BIOS. Also, consider driver compatibility between your GPU and certain games. If you suspect the PSU could be faulty, trust your instincts and think about replacing it soon. Good luck sorting this out! 👌🏻

The only change I made was setting my RAM to run at its designed 6000MHz speed.
