How do I turn off Copilot in Word?

I've recently upgraded to MS 365 Premium, which includes the Copilot feature, and now there's this annoying AI pen icon saying "Design with Copilot" next to my cursor in Word. I've read that I can disable it through File > Options > Copilot, but I can't find that setting anywhere in the navigation menu. Does anyone have a solution for turning it off?

If you're not finding the option to disable Copilot directly in Word, another approach could be looking into running the application as an administrator. Sometimes this can reveal hidden settings. Just right-click the Word icon and select 'Run as administrator' to see if that helps!

Since you're using a personal account, another option is to consider buying the stand-alone version of Office instead of the subscription. The one-time purchase version tends to come without Copilot, so you might want to check that out! It could save you a bit of hassle.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll look into this option.

To disable Copilot, check Microsoft's official support site for instructions. Sometimes the options can be a bit different depending on the version you're using, so make sure you have the latest updates installed.
