Looking for Upgrade Suggestions for My 5-Year-Old PC

I've built my current PC about five years ago. Here's what I'm working with:

- AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- ASUS TUF X570-PLUS WIFI
- Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16GB) 3200
- EVGA GTX 1660 Super
- Corsair RM750X PSU

I did a lot of research while building it back during COVID, and it cost me around £1000. It runs most games quite well, and I've been really happy with its performance. However, I haven't kept up with the latest hardware and I'm considering some upgrades. I primarily want to replace the GPU, but I'm worried about potential bottlenecks with my current CPU and motherboard. I'd like to know what GPUs or other upgrades you'd recommend. I'm looking to spend between £400 and £800, and ideally, I want something that can handle games like Cyberpunk, ARK SE/SA, or GTA at decent settings.

To build on that, if you wait for the new AMD chips like the 5700X3D or 5800X3D, you could enhance your CPU later without rushing. For now, just grab a solid GPU and you'll be good for the next few years.

For your budget, check out the 9070XT or the 5070. The 9070XT is notably faster overall, but it comes with a higher price tag. Keep in mind that while it gives you more VRAM, Nvidia's DLSS could be a game-changer depending on the titles you're into and your display setup. What are you mainly playing?

Your Ryzen 5 5600X is solid and can definitely handle a more powerful GPU. Since you have an X570 motherboard, you're set up for PCIe 4.0. Just focus on upgrading the GPU first. What specific models are you eyeing for your budget?

I just wanted to add, I'm also looking in the same price range, and it seems like you could get a great GPU upgrade without needing to swap out your CPU or motherboard.

Absolutely! I know a friend who used a 5600X with a 3080 and it worked like a charm for all the latest games.
