I'm setting up a system with an XFX 9070 XT GPU that requires three PCIe 8-pin connections, along with an iCue hub that needs one PCIe 6-pin. My power supply is a Corsair RM1000x Shift, which has three PCIe connections, leading me to wonder if I need a total of four connections. I've heard about dual 8-pin PCIe cables but can't find anything on Corsair's site, and I'd prefer to avoid third-party cables. Any advice? Thanks!

Hey! I think there's a little confusion about your PSU connections. The RM1000x Shift has multiple PCIe cables available, so you should be good. You might need to use two cables for your GPU, which means you would connect two cables to give you all the necessary connectors. Just ensure you're utilizing the horizontally oriented connectors that are included with your PSU. Double-checking the layout can help!
You can definitely make it work with just two cables. Run one cable with three connectors for the GPU and another for your iCue hub. The RM1000x Shift should have plenty of connectors to support that setup without any issues.
Can you clarify what you mean by using one cable for three connectors? How does that setup work?

Thanks for the tip! I totally didn’t notice the horizontal cables before.
