How can I create a sweet app for my boyfriend to remind him I love him?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on creating a small application for my boyfriend, who is a computer engineering major. He's been going through a tough time with internships and finals, and I thought it would be nice to send him periodic notifications that remind him how proud I am of him and that I love him. I have zero coding experience, so I'm hoping to find a simple way to go about this. Any suggestions or steps I can follow? Thanks!

It would probably be best to just text him directly. He’ll appreciate hearing from you more than getting automated reminders. But if you really want to code something, I’d suggest using a tool like PushOver for easy notifications!

This is a fantastic idea! You might want to try coding in Python, which is pretty beginner-friendly. Even the simplest projects can really impress him!

Thanks for the tip! He has mentioned Python before, so I think that's a good route. When you say 'code him,' do you mean the actual message I want to send?

You could ask ChatGPT for help in setting this up; it could guide you through the basics easily! He’s going to love whatever you create because it will come from you!

Have you considered using an app that schedules messages? Both iPhone and Android have features for that. You could set up text messages to send at certain times, which is a straightforward way to say 'I love you' without any coding!

That’s true, but she might want to create something he enjoys since he’s into programming!

That's such a sweet idea! You could start by building a simple web app that displays a loving message. Even basic HTML can do the trick. It may sound complicated, but it can all be done using just a text editor and a web browser!

But isn't she starting from scratch? A 'centered div' might be a bit much as the first step!

You could also just add an image to make it more personal. It’s a lovely thought!
