Would a Mobile App for Monitoring AWS Costs Be Useful?

I've been searching for a mobile app to help track AWS costs, but it seems like there aren't any good options available. The 'AWS Console' app I downloaded only provides basic information, which isn't enough for detailed cost management. I find mobile websites cumbersome, especially for dashboard views, and would love to see an app that allows users to easily monitor spending. Ideally, it would offer a quick view of current AWS expenses, suggest optimizations, and identify unused resources. I'm curious if others would find this type of app useful or if there's a reason such a mobile solution hasn't been developed.

I doubt there’s a huge demand for mobile cost checking among business users. Most either have consistent charges without surprises or prefer their finance teams to handle alerts during any sudden spikes.

There is already an AWS mobile app! You can find it in the Google Play Store, but it’s pretty basic; maybe that’s why people are looking for more features in a dedicated cost management app.

Honestly, checking costs on a mobile app feels unnecessary. It’s a bit like wanting to check your car's fuel level through an app when you can just see it right from the dashboard. Most serious users work on desktops with larger screens anyway, which are better for handling detailed data.

That’s a valid point, thanks for sharing!

AWS billing can take up to 48 hours to update, so constantly checking costs might not be practical on a mobile app. It’s probably more efficient to have alerts for significant changes instead of a daily check.

Didn’t know that! So daily cost checks wouldn't work, huh?

From my experience as a solution architect, smaller businesses often don't prioritize cost optimization. Meanwhile, larger companies usually have dedicated tools already in place. An app focused on security features might attract more interest than a cost tracking app.
