Help! My Keyboard Membrane Is Stained After a Spill

I accidentally spilled something on my keyboard and, after cleaning it, I noticed that some keys weren't working. I opened it up for a closer look and found a small grey stain on the membrane, specifically on the line connected to the non-working keys. I'm not sure if this stain was caused by the spill or if it was always there, but I need some help figuring out what to do next. Any advice would be appreciated!

If the stain is on one of the contact lines, that's not good news. A single shorted contact can take out multiple keys. You should clean between the circles with contact cleaner if you can. But if the stain is indeed on a line, it might have caused permanent damage. You might need to consider getting a new keyboard, unfortunately.

I'm kind of bummed out hearing that... It is on a line. I'm not completely unable to use it since it's just some of the number keys and function keys that are out, but I guess I'll have to start looking for a replacement soon.
