Hey everyone! I just upgraded my GPU from a 4070 to a 5070 Ti, and I currently have a 7800x3d processor. I'm curious if upgrading to a 9800x3d would boost my performance, especially since I play at 1440p and use DLSS. I've heard that a 9800x3d could improve my 1% low performance at lower resolutions. If I sell my 7800x3d, the price difference would be about $150. Is this upgrade worth the cost?

I have a 5070 Ti paired with a 7800x3d, and I'm sticking with it. You might gain a few extra FPS, but not enough to make a dent in your gaming experience at 1440p.
It’s not worth it performance-wise, but if you're into those better vibes that come with a newer chip, go for it! Just don’t expect a huge boost in FPS.
Honestly, I don't think the upgrade is worth it. You'd probably see less than a 10% difference in performance, which isn't enough to justify the expense.
If money isn't a big issue, sure, the 9800x3d runs cooler and has some measurable gains, but with your recent GPU upgrade, it's probably not worth it. I guess you're watching your budget, so I'd skip it.
Short answer: No. Spending money on this upgrade seems like a waste. The performance difference is minimal, less than 10% between the two processors.
