I'm having trouble activating Windows 11 on a PC I set up for a friend. The PC didn't come with Windows pre-installed, so I bought a 'family' edition key, which I believe is equivalent to the Home version in French. However, when I try to enter the key, it doesn't work. I've tried calling support, but the automated system just leads to nowhere. If anyone has advice on how to resolve this and activate Windows, I would really appreciate your help!

It sounds like you're dealing with a key confusion! There isn't a 'family version' of Windows—it's usually just Home or Professional. Maybe double-check where you bought the key to make sure it's legitimate. It could be an issue with the key itself.
Also, before making any changes, ensure you have backups of your important data. If you're unsure about the key validity, contacting the seller might be a good idea too.

Yeah, I think in French markets, what we refer to as 'Home' might be termed 'family.' Just confirm the key is the right type for your edition!
