Which CPU Should I Choose for Gaming and 3D Work?

Hey everyone! I'm new here and am in the process of building a PC around the AMD RX 9070 XT graphics card. I'm looking for guidance on the best CPU to pair with it. I've already got 32GB of DDR5 RAM at 6000MHz (both EXPO and XMP-ready), which has been a bit of a challenge to figure out. When it comes to the CPU, I see a lot of debate about whether to go with Intel or AMD, and whether more cores or fewer cores are better. I'm mainly looking to game at 1440p (not diving into MMORPGs or heavy-duty live service games) at decent frame rates (Ray-Tracing isn't a big concern for me). I'll also be using Blender and Adobe Substance 3D Painter, especially the latter. My budget for the CPU is max $425. Currently, I'm considering the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and Intel Core Ultra 7 265K, but I'm open to other suggestions. The motherboard isn't a big issue since I'll choose it based on the CPU. I also don't plan on overclocking or modifying the voltage much. Thanks in advance for your help!

I’d definitely recommend the Ryzen 7800X3D. It’s a fantastic gaming CPU and still handles multi-core tasks pretty well. While the Intel 265K might perform better for 3D rendering, the overall gaming experience you’ll get with the AMD option really makes it worth it. Plus, there's a lot of room for upgrades down the line, which is a definite plus!

Got it! So the 7800X3D is the go-to for balanced performance in both gaming and 3D work, right?
