Did I overpay for a Samsung 2TB EVO SSD?

I recently had my 2TB Intenso SSD fail unexpectedly, and after looking at the current insane prices for storage, I decided to check out eBay. I found a brand new seller with zero feedback selling a 2TB Samsung EVO SSD, which seems like it's from around 2016, for 90 euros. I jumped on it since nothing else was close to that price for that storage capacity. However, I later realized just how old the model is. So, was this a good deal considering the current market?

Honestly, for today's market, 90 euros sounds like a pretty good deal for a 2TB SSD, even if it's a bit older. SSD prices have gone wild in the past year! Just to be safe, make sure to run some benchmarks with a tool like H2Testw to confirm it's legit since there are some counterfeit Samsung drives out there. Maybe even share a pic of it if you can, that might help too.

Totally! I was shocked by how much SSD prices spiked recently when my own drive died. I think 90 euros for that size was pretty normal like 6-12 months ago, so you didn't totally break the bank. Samsung Evos are reliable, and if it’s just for game storage, it should do fine as long as it hasn't been heavily used.

It would be great to know which specific EVO model you picked up. That might help gauge if the price is decent or not.

My bad! The exact model is the Samsung 850 EVO, MZ-75E2T0.
