Is My PSU Enough for My New 5070 Ti?

I recently switched from a 4070 Super to a 5070 Ti. I was using a Corsair RM750X PSU with my old card and I also bought a Corsair cable that goes from 2x8 pins to a 12VHPWR connector. Now, the 5070 Ti has an adapter that requires 3x8 pins to 12VHPWR. I was concerned about needing to buy new cables. However, Corsair states that their 2x8 pin to 12VHPWR cables can provide up to 600 watts. I thought that was reassuring. While stress testing the GPU with OCCT, it never goes above 300 watts, which makes me question if the cable is really supplying enough power since the 5070 Ti is supposed to draw more. Also, I noticed that under full load, the GPU's voltage is averaging 0.98. Is that too low for this graphics card?

The 5070 Ti has a total graphics power (TGP) of 300W, which means it typically won't draw more than that. You can check the power limit settings in MSI Afterburner to tweak your performance a bit if you're looking to push it further. It sounds like your Corsair cable is performing as it should, so your setup should be fine!

A solid article outlines the difference between native PSU cables and adapter cables. Those Corsair ports can handle up to 300W each, which means you're all good at 300W for the 5070 Ti, so what you're observing is likely normal.

This is exactly the information I needed! Thanks a ton!

How's the performance been with the new card? Are you getting the frame rates you were expecting?

Considering it's pulling around 300 watts, that's fine since around 75 watts actually comes from the PCIe lane. Corsair cables are reliable for at least that amount. You might want to investigate your power settings or try different stress tests if you're looking for more performance. Don't worry too much about the PSU; it's within spec for your GPU!
