Hey everyone! I've built my PC setup a few years ago, and I'm curious if any components might need an upgrade. Here's what I'm working with:
**GPU:** RTX 3060 12GB
**CPU:** AMD Ryzen 9 3900X (12 cores)
**CPU Cooler:** Wrath Prism LED
**Motherboard:** B450 Steel Legend
**RAM:** Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB
What do you think?

It kind of depends on how well your system is running for you right now. If you're getting the performance you need, you might not need to upgrade.
If you’re not frustrated with performance for what you do—like media consumption, video editing, and programming—then maybe just consider your GPU. You aren’t a huge gamer, so your setup sounds decent for now.
I don’t game much, but I do want smooth performance for video editing and graphics work.
You might want to look at potential GPU upgrades if you feel it’s necessary. But remember that building a new PC right now is super pricey because of the AI market driving up hardware costs. If you aren't struggling with your current games or tasks, you might hold off on upgrading anything but the GPU if you can manage a higher-tier one like the 5070 or better.
What about AMD GPUs? Also, is it worth it to upgrade from DDR4 to DDR5 RAM?
It varies based on what you use your PC for. Your current GPU is starting to show its age. Upgrading to a Ryzen 5000 series CPU could be beneficial, but if your current setup meets your needs, then you might not need to rush into anything.
Would switching to a 5000 series CPU mean I'd need a new motherboard? Also, are there GPUs in the $500-600 range that would give me a noticeable performance boost?

It is running fine, but I'm not really up to date on what's considered good or outdated.
