Hey everyone! I recently bought an ASUS The SFF-Ready Prime GeForce RTX 5080 OC Edition 16GB GDDR7 Graphics Card from Amazon. When I opened the box, I was surprised to find there was only a single 8-pin PCIe power slot on the card, whereas I expected it to have a 12-pin VHPWR slot as RTX 5080s typically do. I'm worried that I may have received a lower model GPU instead of what I paid for. The labels state it's a 5080 but I'm really concerned. If it is indeed correct, what kind of cables should I be using? I don't want to damage it by plugging it in. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Definitely looks like you've been scammed! That 8-pin connector is a big red flag. RTX 5080s should have the 12VHPWR for sure. Sounds like someone might have swapped out the components or just misled you with a fraudulent listing. You should return it ASAP!
Looks like you got a lower-end model for sure. The stickers don’t even match up with what a genuine 5080 would look like. If sold directly by Amazon, I bet they’ll sort it out for you without issues.
Exactly! Just make sure to send it back as soon as you can to avoid any more hassle.
I also think that’s a scam. None of the 50-series should have just an 8-pin; they need more power. If Amazon sold it directly, they should be able to help you out with a return, so definitely contact them ASAP.
True, Amazon is usually pretty good about handling returns like this, just tell them what happened.
Honestly, I wouldn’t buy high-end components from Amazon anymore. There’s been way too many scams like this. Better to go through reputable sites where you can verify the seller.
For sure! I've learned my lesson too. But if you're in a bind, Amazon support is usually reliable when it comes to returns.
Return that card immediately! I’ve heard of people getting duped like this too, where they swap labels on lower models. You should always check what's inside before you plug anything in.
Yeah, it’s crazy what some sellers will try to pull off. Always good to check everything!

Yeah, it's super shady! Make sure to document everything and get your refund quickly.
