I'm considering whether it's worth upgrading from my Ryzen 5 3600 to a Ryzen 7 5800X. I currently have a 2080 Ti and am not planning to switch to AM5 anytime soon, plus the pricing on AM4 X3D chips is really high right now. If I go for the 5800X, I'm also wondering if my 650W power supply will be sufficient for the upgrade.

Upgrading to the 5800X could be beneficial since it has double the L3 cache which can improve gaming performance significantly. However, your 650W PSU might be a concern. While your setup should ideally be fine under normal load, there could be issues during peak usage when power demand spikes. I'd recommend trying out the 5800X, and if you notice any crashes under heavy loads, then consider upgrading to a 750W or 850W PSU for more stability.
