How can I transfer photos from my iPhone to a SANDISK hard drive?

I'm trying to find a way to transfer over 20,000 photos and videos from my iPhone 16 to my SANDISK hard drive. I've attempted several methods but keep running into issues. The simplest solution seems to be connecting the hard drive directly to my phone, but it doesn't get recognized, no matter what format I try. I've also used a connector plugged into the phone's socket, but that hasn't worked either. My PC is another option, but it's slow and doesn't have enough memory to handle this transfer efficiently. Any suggestions on what I can do?

It sounds like you might have a power issue with your hard drive. For a spinning hard drive, the power from the iPhone might not be enough. I've had better success using a desktop external drive with its own power source or even a flash drive. Just keep in mind that if your phone is full, you might want to move some photos to your computer first to free up space for the transfer.

That makes sense! My phone's not low on memory since I back everything up to the cloud, but I really wanted to have a local copy too. I'll look for a powered option for the transfer.
