Why does my new computer keep shutting off unexpectedly?

I recently built a new PC with all brand-new parts, and everything was running smoothly until yesterday. Suddenly, I noticed unusually high RAM usage, even with no startup apps or open tabs. Today, while playing a game (I only had YouTube and Bus Simulator 2023 running), the computer randomly shut down after just a few minutes. This is my first custom build; my previous one was pre-built, so I'm not sure what's causing this issue. The temperatures haven't gone above 65-70°C, and the RAM usage doesn't seem unusually high during the crashes. Here are my specs: 1000W power supply, RTX 5070 12GB, 32GB of DDR5 6000MHz memory, an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, Windows 11 Pro, and a Samsung 4TB drive.

Have you checked if the computer shuts off even when you're not gaming? Also, consider checking the Event Viewer for any error messages that might give clues about the shutdowns. You can find it in system tools, and it can provide insight into what's happening right before the crash.

Sorry to hear you're feeling sick! Don't stress about it right now, but when you’re better, looking into potential RAM issues might help. Ensure your RAM is properly seated and maybe run a memory test. High usage could indicate a different problem, but it’s worth checking.

It sounds like your PC might have a power supply issue since it’s shutting down under load. Double-check all your power supply connections, especially into the GPU, to ensure they're secure. Also, try to find out the exact model of your power supply; sometimes the wattage isn’t enough for high-performance components like yours.
