Upgrading My GPU: Should I Choose AMD or Nvidia?

I'm looking to upgrade from my current 7600 XT 16GB to something more powerful and cooler. I've done some research and got recommendations for the RX 9060 XT, RX 9070 XT, and RTX 5060 Ti. However, the RTX 5070 Ti is really expensive where I live in Brazil right now, so it's off the table. Here are my system specs: Ryzen 5700X3D, Corsair 32GB DDR4, Asus TUF Gaming B550M Plus, and Corsair 650W RGB PSU.

I have a few questions:
1) Out of the RX 9060 XT 16GB, RX 9070 XT 16GB, and RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, which one would work best with my setup? Are there any compatibility concerns with my CPU?
2) I'm considering cooling options. I find dual-fan GPUs cheaper but want something that stays cooler than my current one, which hits 88-90°C at 120fps on ultra settings and is quite loud. Would a triple-fan setup make a significant difference?
3) How does the RTX 5070 (12GB) compare to the RX 9070 XT (16GB)? Should I go for the 5060 Ti instead if I pick Nvidia?

The 9070 XT is definitely the stronger option, but your PSU may be pushed a bit. Expect some power consumption, but it'll handle it well with your Ryzen CPU. The 5060 Ti and 9060 XT perform similarly, but the 9070 XT will outshine both. If you find a good price on the 5070, that’s a reliable compromise too.

Thanks! What PSU wattage do you recommend for better stability, though? I'm a bit worried about total costs with a new PSU and GPU.

You'll have no issues running any GPU except for the very top models with your Ryzen 5700X3D. With modern GPUs like the 9060 XT and 5060 Ti, you probably won't need a third fan setup; dual fans usually keep things around 65°C under full load anyway. I'd recommend the 9060 XT 16GB for the best bang for your buck, while the 9070 XT is great for gaming at 1440p. The 5070 isn't as solid compared to the other two, especially if you can find a good deal on the 9060 XT.

I’d go for the 9070 or 9070 XT since they’re well-suited for your setup and won’t strain your PSU. The 5070 is decent but not as good as the 9070 series performance-wise, and you'll get more VRAM with the 9070 XT, which is a solid choice overall.

Check out performance charts, like the one from TechPowerUp. Keep in mind that Nvidia cards support DLSS and have broader upscaling options, versus AMD’s FSR. Do some video comparisons for each feature and see which suits your gameplay style and budget. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, so it depends on pricing and your needs.
