Hey everyone, I need some help with my new gaming PC. I found this video online with tips on saving CPU power and removing what they called Microsoft spyware. Here's what I did:
1. I disabled the 'Connected User Experiences and Telemetry' service.
2. I disabled the 'Windows Error Reporting Service'.
3. I turned off 'Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser' in Task Scheduler.
4. I also tried to disable 'PcaPatchDbtask', but it keeps reverting back to enabled after I restart my computer. In a desperate move, I turned off all permissions for that task, except for SYSTEM, but now I can't get those permissions back.
I've attempted to restore them using command prompt and Task Scheduler, but no luck. If anyone knows how to regain those permissions, or how to permanently disable PcaPatch, I would really appreciate the guidance! Thanks!

So disabling those permissions might be blocking your updates now, just a heads up. You might run into more issues down the line!
It sounds like you're in a bit of a pickle. First off, I’d suggest taking your computer to a repair shop. You might want to have them set up your user account without admin rights. This could help keep everything running smoothly in the future.
I get that you were just trying to optimize your PC, but taking tech advice from Instagram reels can lead to problems like this. Just be careful with those kinds of tips; it’s better to stick with trusted sources.
You might need to pay penance to the PC gods for your missteps! Just kidding, but seriously, sometimes a little humility goes a long way with tech.
Honestly, trying to mess with those permissions might not be worth it. Sometimes you just have to deal with the mess you created for a bit and consider a Windows reinstall. It could clean up a lot of issues, but make sure to back everything up if you choose that route!
