Hey everyone! I'm diving into my first PC build and I'm trying to figure out how much RAM I should get for my setup with an AMD Ryzen 5 7600 and an AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT. I've been looking at these bottleneck calculators, but they suggest a crazy amount of DDR5 RAM that feels out of my budget—like, do I really need to sell a kidney? I'm mostly going to be playing The Sims 4 and maybe Minecraft, so would going for less RAM be a terrible decision? Ideally, I want to aim for 16 or 32GB, but will that really mess things up? Thanks a bunch in advance!
Edit: Huge thanks to everyone for your advice! Hope you all have a fantastic day! 😀

Just go for a dual-channel 16GB setup. That should be more than enough for playing Sims 4 and keeping a browser open.
You really want at least 16GB minimum these days, especially with Windows. If you can swing it, 32GB is even better for future-proofing, but you probably won't need 64GB unless you're running heavy software.
Okay thank gosh haha!
Honestly, don't stress about those bottleneck calculators—they're usually not accurate. For gaming, 32GB is ideal, and you should be covered for years to come!
Okay, thanks so much!!

Does that mean getting two 16GB sticks?
