I'm aiming to create a versatile machine mainly for learning and working on side projects. I'm interested in local AI experiments—nothing too advanced, just some entry-level stuff I picked up from YouTube. I also want to dabble in game development, starting with 2D and possibly moving to basic 3D later. Additionally, I plan to do some hobby video editing with travel footage I've shot, and I have some experience in audio mixing, mainly with vocal processing. While I'd like to play some games, that's not the main focus; ideally, I'd love to run something like Witcher 4 at medium settings.
My budget is between 6.5 to 7k PLN (about 1.8k to 1.95k USD). I've been considering a few CPU and GPU combos but need advice on what makes the most sense overall. Here are my current options:
- Ryzen 7 7800X3D + RTX 5060 Ti 16GB
- Ryzen 7 7700 + RTX 5070 12GB
- Ryzen 9 7900 + a more affordable GPU
For the motherboard, I'm thinking of a B650 and a 750W PSU from a reliable list I've saved. I'd also want some decent DDR5 RAM (aiming for 32GB, but could start with one 16GB stick if prices get crazy). I'm particularly looking at GPUs with 16GB of VRAM due to my AI testing and video editing needs.
Do any of these setups look good to you? I'm open to better combinations or suggestions with explanations based on actual use. Thanks a ton!

I recommend going with an AM4 setup to potentially save on RAM costs for now. A Ryzen 7 5800X3D paired with a 5060 Ti for 16GB of VRAM sounds like a good combo if that's your priority. But keep an eye on RAM prices in your area since they can vary widely!
I'm a little hesitant about committing to an AM4 system. I'm really leaning towards AM5 since a lot of tasks I want to explore need a solid CPU. In my area, a 32GB DDR5 kit is around 540 USD, so I was thinking about just starting with a 16GB stick and adding another down the road. Just feel like RAM prices won't drop anytime soon.
