I'm looking to upgrade my system later this year but want to keep using the DDR4 memory kit I bought a few months ago. Whenever I try to input the memory model number into PC Part Picker, I can't find any motherboards that list it as compatible. My current setup includes an i7 12700k, and while I'm considering an upgrade, I'm not strictly tied to Intel. The memory kit I'm using is CMW128GX4M4E3200C16. Any advice on finding a suitable motherboard?

Honestly, you’re on a solid DDR4 platform already, so unless you want a higher-end LGA1700 board, there isn’t really much to upgrade to. A simple drop-in of a CPU like the 14700KF could be a good move!

I get that, but I want to upgrade the motherboard too, so I won’t be stuck with outdated options later. I'm just looking to make sure I can find a compatible board now before everything gets rare.
