I just got my first NAS set up and purchased two WD Red Plus 8 TB drives from Amazon. They arrived today, and I was excited to check them out. However, when I used CrystalDiskInfo, I noticed that one of the drives has had 142 Power On Hours, even though the Power On Count is only 4.
This seems like a lot of hours for a brand new drive, suggesting it's been running for almost 6 days. Should I be concerned about that, or is it okay to go ahead and use it in my NAS?

It's a little higher than expected for a new drive, but it's not necessarily a dealbreaker. As long as you don’t see any reallocated sectors in the S.M.A.R.T. data, it should be fine to use. Just keep an eye on it for any unusual signs down the road.
