Trouble Connecting New Computer to Shared Folder

I'm having some trouble connecting a new computer to a shared QuickBooks file on my main PC. The main PC is functioning normally, and I haven't changed any settings. I recently replaced a second computer that was accessing the shared folder, and now, the new computer just won't connect to the mapped drive. I've checked the advanced network settings on all computers and they match up: network discovery and file sharing are both enabled on private and public networks.

I can see the new computer from the main PC, but when I try to access it, I get a "cannot access" message. Moreover, on the new PC, when I enter the host computer's name, I receive the error code 0x80070035, which indicates that the path isn't found at all, and there are no prompts for credentials. All three computers are connected to the same Wi-Fi network (5G). Has anyone run into a similar issue or have any suggestions?

You might want to check if Remote Desktop connections are enabled on the new PC. However, since you're on Windows 11 Home, it doesn't support that feature. It's worth noting though that Remote Desktop isn't necessary for file sharing, so don't worry about that just yet. Just ensure you're trying to access the shared folder directly without needing that.

An often overlooked detail is whether both PCs are using the same user account name and password. If you can, set up the same admin credentials on both computers to simplify access rights. This often helps in gaining smooth access to shared resources.

First off, make sure all the computers are running compatible versions of Windows. You've mentioned they're all on Windows 11 Home. That's good! Also, check if any of the computers are using a VPN, as that can sometimes block connections to shared folders. If they are, try disconnecting from the VPN temporarily to see if that helps.
