I'm experiencing a frustratingly long boot time with my SSD-equipped PC. It usually takes about 5 minutes to boot, which has been the case since I first set it up. My BIOS settings confirm that the SSD is prioritized for booting. Here are my specs:
- Windows 10 Pro N 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5 6600K @ 3.50GHz (Skylake 14nm Technology)
- RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR4 @ 1064MHz (15-15-15-36)
- Motherboard: MSI H110M ECO (MS-7994)
- GPU: GTX 1070 8 GB
I would appreciate any advice on how to troubleshoot this issue.

How old is your SSD? Sometimes, even solid-state drives can be slow to boot if they're older or if they're nearly full. It's best to have at least 20% of the drive free to maintain good performance. Have you ever run any benchmarks to check its health?
Is your slow boot happening during the BIOS startup, or is it mainly when Windows is loading? That can help determine if the issue is with your hardware or software.
You should consider installing CrystalDiskInfo to check the health of your SSD. It'll give you information on its temperature and overall condition, which can impact boot times.

My SSD is about a year and a half old, and I have around 30-40% free space. I haven't done any benchmarks yet, though.
