I'm eager to start my career in DevOps, but I could really use some guidance from industry veterans. I have a solid grounding in programming with Python and JavaScript, along with scripting skills in Bash and Python. I'm also comfortable with both Windows and Linux operating systems. With my development background, I'm familiar with version control using Git and GitHub, and I've dabbled in Docker as well. While I have a bit of experience in cybersecurity and networking, I don't consider myself an expert. I'd love to hear how I can best position myself to land a DevOps internship and what steps I should take next. I'm ready for some tough love and honest feedback!

Just a heads up, DevOps isn't usually an entry-level position. It's important to have a solid grasp of either systems administration or development before making the leap into DevOps.
Honestly, most companies don't really have entry-level DevOps roles. They typically expect candidates to be deeply skilled in one area and fairly competent in another. It might be best to focus on getting a sysadmin role first. This will really help you build your skills in infrastructure and networking. You'll need to master troubleshooting to efficiently handle problems across the whole stack—not just the coding or deployment aspects.
Thank you for the guidance!
Have you checked out KubeCraft? They're currently offering internships, and it could be a great opportunity for you!
I'll definitely check them out.

What do you recommend I do first? I was considering getting more familiar with AWS and Google Cloud.
