I'm currently using Linux Mint on my travel laptop, but I'm running into a snag because my MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7902 Wireless LAN Card isn't supported. I'm on the lookout for affordable replacement network cards. Does anyone have recommendations for compatible options? I'm based in the UK, so ideally, they would be available here.

I had a similar issue with my laptop and switched to Zorin OS 18. It's user-friendly and recognized my hardware during installation. It has a Windows-like interface and even runs Steam. You might want to consider that as an alternative!

If you need a quick fix, try connecting your laptop to Ethernet first. Then check the optional drivers manager in Linux Mint's settings. Sometimes, the MediaTek card works fine; you just need an internet connection to download the appropriate drivers. If you pull your hardware ID using 'lspci' in the terminal, you can also get more info online about Linux drivers.

Check out the Intel AX210; it's typically well-supported on Linux right out of the box. It even has Bluetooth functionality! I've used it without any issues, so I highly recommend it for a smooth experience.
