I'm new to the PC gaming scene and I've run into some frustrating issues with my new gaming rig. It has a Ryzen 5500 processor and an RTX 5060 graphics card installed. I've updated all the latest drivers, but I keep crashing right at startup when I try to play Fortnite. Interestingly, other games like Rocket League work perfectly fine. I've also switched the settings to DirectX 11 but I'm experiencing constant lag drops during gameplay. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Have you checked what kind of storage drives you have? If you have both an SSD and an HDD, make sure your games are installed on the SSD as that can help prevent issues. Also, trying to run Fortnite in performance mode might really boost your experience!
I have an SSD too (1TB) and 16GB of RAM, but even then I faced issues. After switching to performance mode, it crashed on me as soon as I tried to boot. It seems like your setup should run better, though.

Yeah, definitely try setting it to performance mode and then go back and set the 3D resolution to 100%. After that, bump all your settings back up to high. That usually helps a lot! If you still face stuttering, you might consider uninstalling the game and then reinstalling it.
