I'm looking at a gaming PC build with some serious specs: Intel Core i9-14900KF, NVIDIA RTX 5080 with 16GB, 64GB of CORSAIR Vengeance RGB DDR5 RAM, a 2TB MSI M461 NVMe SSD, MSI Pro Z790-P WiFi ATX chipset, and a Vortex King 95 Pro RGB ATX case. It's cooled with an MSI 360mm AIO Cooler and has an 850W power supply labeled just as "PSU 850W." The whole setup costs £2,399, and it's mostly meant for high-end gaming—specifically for running games like DCS and Cyberpunk 2077 at max settings. Is this a good deal, or does anything here raise a red flag?

I recommend upgrading to a 1000W PSU from a reputable brand—it's like an insurance policy for your expensive components. Would save you a lot of headaches in the long run.
Honestly, you could build a similar PC for around £2,400, and I'd suggest checking out PC Part Picker for alternatives. Like, maybe swap out some components for better performance per pound, especially if you consider using Hynix RAM. There are definitely options that can cut costs without sacrificing a lot.
What exactly are you planning to do with this PC? That can really affect whether the build is worth it or not!
The main concern is that LGA1700 is kind of a dead end—not much upgrade potential later on unless you're ready to buy a whole new motherboard and CPU combo.
I don't think anyone really needs to upgrade the i9-14900K and RTX 5080 for at least five years!
For £2,399, I'd say it's a solid buy. You'd struggle to build it yourself for that price! Check out this link for a similar build I found: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/HGrwt3.
Thanks for the link!
I just compared your build with upgraded DDR5 RAM, and it jacked up to over £3,000!

My bad! It's mainly for high-end gaming, especially DCS and Cyberpunk 2077 at max settings.
