I recently upgraded my desktop by moving it to a new case and swapping out the PSU. Initially, I was using a cheap Veetro power supply, but I quickly replaced it with a Corsair unit. Since making these changes, my Unreal Engine games—mostly Satisfactory and Tempest Rising—have been crashing with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION errors. No issues from other games or applications, and the crashes started right after the swap. Here's a bit of info about my setup:
- **Computer Type:** Desktop
- **GPU:** Radeon RX 6700 XT
- **CPU:** Ryzen 5 5600X
- **RAM:** 32GB DDR4 3200MHz (completely stock)
- **PSU:** Old - Thermalright; New PSU #1 - Cheap Veetro; New PSU #2 - Corsair (current)
- **OS:** Windows 11 (fresh install)
I tried multiple GPU drivers and have monitored temperatures, which are normal. Also, my paging file was stuck at 2GB, which I just discovered. I wonder if something related to the rebuild—like possibly the PSU cables not making a solid connection or hardware positioning issues—could be causing this. Has anyone experienced similar issues or have ideas on what might be going on?

It sounds like the PSU cables could be the root of your problem. Unreal Engine games need a lot of resources, and if any of the cables are loose or not fully connected, it might not deliver enough power, leading to crashes. Make sure all the cables are properly seated. Just so you know, what wattages do your PSUs have?
Your troubleshooting steps look solid! But just to clarify, were the games completely fresh installs after you set up Windows, or were they on a different drive and just linked back? I’d suggest trying to fully uninstall and then reinstall one of the games that keeps crashing; that might help!

The old one was 650 watts, and the Veetro was 850. The new Corsair is also 850 watts, and I'm using the cables that came with each supply.
