Feedback Needed on My First PC Build for Gaming and Photoshop

Hey everyone! I'm excited to share my first PC build, which I'm putting together as a graduation gift to myself for finishing my master's degree. I just want to get some feedback! I mainly picked parts based on combo deals from Newegg. I was originally leaning towards the RX 9070 but switched to the RTX 5070 since it seems to perform great for about $200 less, based on what I've seen in benchmarks and reviews online.

Here's what I've got planned for my build:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core
- **CPU Cooler:** be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5
- **Motherboard:** MSI PRO B650-S WIFI ATX AM5
- **Memory:** TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 32 GB DDR5-6000
- **Storage:** WD Black SN850X 1 TB NVMe SSD
- **Video Card:** PNY OC GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB
- **Power Supply:** ASRock Steel Legend 750W 80+ Gold
- **Case:** Lian Li Vector V100R

My budget is around $2,000–$3,000 CAD, and I'm looking at it primarily for gaming (like Baldur's Gate 3 and Cyberpunk 2077) and amateur Photoshop work. I'm currently using a Dell UP2414Q 4K monitor and don't need an additional one right now, but I'm open to suggestions for future upgrades.

I'd appreciate your thoughts on:
- Whether the higher-end build is worth the extra cost
- Any parts that seem overpriced or unbalanced
- Suggestions for better value or long-term upgrade paths

Thanks for your help!

I noticed you mentioned the RX 9070 by mistake, but comparing the RTX 5070 to the 9070 XT, the price difference looks pretty significant. If you're looking for performance without overspending, the 5070 is a solid choice.

True, the benchmarks really show the 5070 holding its own. It’s a smart pick if you're watching your budget!

If your budget is between $2k and $3k, I would recommend considering the RTX 5080. It can offer better long-term performance, especially for gaming. Just be mindful of where you can trim costs elsewhere if you want to fit that in.
Also, for gaming, you might want to think about upgrading to a more powerful cooler to help with heat during those intensive sessions!

That makes sense! I’ll check out the cooler options. Thanks for the tip!

If the 5080 looks too pricey, one strategy could be to start with the 5070 and plan for future upgrades—maybe set aside some budget for that later. Keep an eye on sales too, as prices fluctuate often here in Canada!
