I messed up the settings on my second monitor while trying to adjust the resolution on Windows 11. I set the resolution too high, and when I switched it back to a more normal setting, the display now shows the content in the middle of the screen surrounded by a thick black border. How can I fix this?

It sounds like you might have changed the aspect ratio on your monitor accidentally. Try checking the monitor's menu settings; you should find an option related to "aspect ratio" or "image settings." Adjusting that should help. Just so you know, most 1920x1080 monitors use a 16:9 aspect ratio. Let me know how it goes!
Another thing you could try is to set the resolution back to what it was originally, then completely power off both your computer and the monitor. Restarting them may help re-calculate the display size and fix the black border issue.
