I recently updated to iOS 26, and I noticed my photo storage ballooned from around 45GB to a shocking 70GB. How could this happen? It seems extreme, and I'm looking for ways to fix this issue and reduce the storage used. Any insights?

It sounds like your phone might have needed to download part of your photo library to re-index everything properly after the update. What's the model and storage capacity of your iPhone? Could help in troubleshooting!

I've got an iPhone 15 with 128GB. Any advice on what I should do? I really don't want to erase everything and then spend 10 hours restoring it all!
